Cloudflare nameservers

By default, your domain should point to our nameservers which have Cloudflare protection built in. If you want to manage Cloudflare settings yourself, you can add your domain directly to Cloudflare.

Adding your domain to Cloudflare

  1. Create a free account at cloudflare.com
  2. Click Add a Site and enter your domain
  3. Select the Free plan (or a paid plan for advanced features)
  4. Cloudflare scans your existing DNS records
  5. Cloudflare gives you two nameservers (e.g. alma.ns.cloudflare.com)
  6. Update these nameservers at your domain registrar

Important DNS records to keep

After moving to Cloudflare DNS, ensure these records exist:

  • A record for your domain → your server IP
  • A record for www → your server IP
  • MX records for email (if hosted with us)
