How to create a subdomain in Plesk

Add a subdomain (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com) and point it to a specific folder.

Creating a subdomain in Plesk

A subdomain lets you run a separate section of your website under a different URL, such as shop.yourdomain.com or blog.yourdomain.com.

Steps

  1. Log in to Plesk
  2. Go to Websites & Domains
  3. Find your main domain and click Add Subdomain
  4. Enter the subdomain prefix (e.g. blog)
  5. Set the document root (the folder where subdomain files will be stored)
  6. Click OK

Adding SSL to a subdomain

  1. Go to Websites & Domains
  2. Click on your subdomain
  3. Go to SSL/TLS Certificates
  4. Click Get it free under Let's Encrypt
  5. Click Install
