Plesk File Manager
The Plesk File Manager is a web-based file browser that lets you manage all your hosting files without needing FTP software.
Opening File Manager
- Log in to Plesk
- Go to Files in the left sidebar (or Websites & Domains → File Manager)
Key operations
- Upload files — Click Upload and select files from your computer
- Create folders — Click New Directory
- Edit files — Right-click a file → Edit to open the built-in code editor
- Extract archives — Upload a .zip file, right-click → Extract Files
- Set permissions — Right-click a file or folder → Change Permissions
Where to upload your website
Your main website files should go in the httpdocs folder. For subdomains, files go in the folder you set when creating the subdomain.
