How Cloudflare CDN works with your hosting

Understand how Cloudflare speeds up your website and protects it from attacks.

Cloudflare CDN overview

All Zebra Hosting Cloud plans include Cloudflare CDN integration. Here's how it works and why it matters.

What is a CDN?

A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a global network of servers. When a visitor opens your website, Cloudflare serves cached content from the server closest to them, reducing load times dramatically.

What Cloudflare provides

  • Global CDN — 300+ data centres worldwide cache your static assets
  • DDoS protection — Automatically absorbs and mitigates DDoS attacks
  • Web Application Firewall (WAF) — Blocks malicious traffic
  • SSL/TLS — Free HTTPS between visitors and Cloudflare
  • Minification — Automatically compresses HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

How it's set up

Cloudflare is automatically configured when your domain uses our nameservers. Your traffic routes through Cloudflare before reaching our servers.

Cache behaviour: Cloudflare caches static files (images, CSS, JS). Dynamic pages (PHP, WordPress admin) are NOT cached by default.
