Secure your Plesk and WordPress admin with two-factor authentication (2FA).
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a time-based code in addition to your password.
2FA in Plesk
- Log in to Plesk
- Click your username (top right) → Edit Profile
- Click Enable Google Authenticator
- Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Authy on your phone
- Enter the 6-digit code to confirm
- Save your backup codes in a safe place
2FA in WordPress
- Install the WP 2FA plugin (free)
- Follow the setup wizard to configure 2FA for your admin account
- You can require 2FA for all admin users
Recommended app: Use Authy or Google Authenticator for generating 2FA codes. Both are free and available for iOS and Android.
