Enabling two-factor authentication

Secure your Plesk and WordPress admin with two-factor authentication (2FA).

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

2FA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a time-based code in addition to your password.

2FA in Plesk

  1. Log in to Plesk
  2. Click your username (top right) → Edit Profile
  3. Click Enable Google Authenticator
  4. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator or Authy on your phone
  5. Enter the 6-digit code to confirm
  6. Save your backup codes in a safe place

2FA in WordPress

  1. Install the WP 2FA plugin (free)
  2. Follow the setup wizard to configure 2FA for your admin account
  3. You can require 2FA for all admin users
Recommended app: Use Authy or Google Authenticator for generating 2FA codes. Both are free and available for iOS and Android.
