Managing WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates

WordPress updates

Keeping WordPress, plugins, and themes up to date is critical for security. On Zebra Hosting Cloud WordPress plans, updates are managed automatically.

Automatic updates

By default, our WordPress Hosting plans apply:

• Minor core updates (e.g. 6.4.1 → 6.4.2) — applied automatically
• Plugin updates — applied automatically for trusted plugins
• Theme updates — applied automatically

Configuring auto-updates in Plesk

1. Log in to Plesk → WordPress
2. Click the settings icon next to your installation
3. Under Auto Updates, configure major/minor/plugin/theme update preferences

Manual updates

1. Log in to WordPress admin → Dashboard → Updates
2. Update WordPress core if a new version is available
3. Select all plugins → Update Plugins
4. Select all themes → Update Themes
