Setting up email aliases and forwarding rules
Create additional email addresses that forward to a main inbox, without extra mailbox costs.
Email aliases and forwarding
An alias is an additional email address that delivers mail to an existing mailbox. Forwarding sends all email from one address to another.
Creating an email alias in Plesk
- In Plesk, go to Mail
- Click on the email account you want to add an alias to
- Go to the Email Aliases tab
- Enter the alias (e.g.
supportto create[email protected]) - Click Add Alias
Setting up email forwarding
- In Plesk, go to Mail and click on the account
- Go to the Forwarding tab
- Enable forwarding and enter the destination email address
- Choose whether to keep a copy in the original mailbox
- Click OK
Common aliases: info@, support@, sales@, hello@, no-reply@ — these are all easily set up as aliases pointing to one main mailbox.
